Welcome to my yearly post to summarize my writing stats (as of December 29th, 2021), set out a goal for next year, and other things. In this post are:
Published word count for stories
First up is an updated chart for sites that I published on other than my blog itself:

My goal this year was 50k words published, but I didn’t quite make it… I could have powered through another story at the end of the year, but I didn’t want to publish something just for publishings sake.
Published word count for blog posts
Getting my stats from my blog is a bit harder, and includes some things like news items, but excludes things like FWBP, so probably a wash over all. This years count is my best on record!

I almost doubled my yearly output of blog posts, mostly due to the fact that I had a post for every single day of the year. That’s unlikely to happen next year, though I do have most of 2022 covered for 2 or 3 posts each week so far.

Blog statistics
My blog traffic has been increasing over time, if my stats plugin is to be believed this is what the year has looked liked since I moved to my self hosted blog in February (as of December 29th, so the last two days of stats are missing):

Not sure what happened in July that caused the spike, but overall the trend is upwards, though leveling off at the end of the year.
If October/November are representative for next year that should put me at ~120k visitors and ~660k page views.
Non-blog statistics (bdsmlr, literotica, etc.)
None of the other sites I post on can come even close to where I was on Tumblr (over 5k followers), but each has had steady progress over the year:

Page rankings very seldom change, with the obvious ones near the top, though the 2017 Archive page at #6 is kind of surprising… I guess 2017 was a good year 😉
Summary and Next years goals
Woohoo! Over a 1.3 million words written so far 🙂 Those daily blog entries really add up!
As I was very close to my goal this year, I’m going to leave it the same as last year, 50k words.
