Of course not all of the information on the cold war bimbo programs has survived, it was after all a secret war, waged around the globe and information loss is to be expected.
Take for example this model, it has features of several programs. A uniform from the Japanese program but the angular features of the German program. However it comes from neither project and in fact it’s origins have never been determined for sure.
The general consensus has been that these “unknown origin” models may in fact be a case of good old fashioned espionage. Some of the underworld’s most powerful crime families have been rumored to have started their own projects and stolen plans from some of the largest players in the game.
The result, like this one, being a mixture of designs as they tried to improve upon their source material.
