“You wanted to see me boss?” I asked as I swung the office door open and stopped dead in my tracks, my eyes bulging almost out of their sockets.
“Ah, Tom, right?” a voice from my right said and I managed to tear my eyes off the two women kneeling by the window.
The blonde was Kimberly, the CEO and daughter of the founder of Hooper Technologies, while the brunette was her best friend and CFO, Beatrice. Or at least I could only assume that was who they were as a half hour ago when Beatrice entered Kimberly’s office they looked very different than they did now.
The door slamming behind me brought me back to the moment and I finally got a look at the man sitting in Kimberly’s chair. He was mid thirties, thin, a thick head of black hair, and impeccably dressed in a three piece pin striped suit.
“Ah… yeah.” I managed to stutter out.
The man cracked a smile and stood up, walking around the desk to me and extended his hand, “I’m Lucas, a pleasure to meet you.”
Instinctively I shook the proffered hand but something felt off as I did.
“Ah, yes, I knew you would be an observant one. Don’t worry, a simple hand shake with the devil doesn’t bind you to any contract with me.” Lucas said with a chuckled and a breaking of the hand shake.
“Wha… I mean… like the devil… Lucifer?”
Lucas nodded and smiled, “Yes, though these days I go by Lucas… more hip and with the times if you know what I mean.” he replied with a wink.
Then, everything fell into place.
“Kimberly…” I started as my head swivel back to the two women sitting on their haunches, “She made a deal with you!”
Lucas nodded again.
“To make Hooper Technologies successful, right?”
It made total sense now, when Kimberly had taken over for her dad, the company had been small, a half dozen employees doing niche work. Sure it had been profitable and provided a good income for all involved, but it wasn’t a household name.
Now, Hooper Technologies was a fortune 500 company, and was well known across the country. Kimberly had appeared on magazine covers as “the next big thing” several times.
“Well, not quite.” Lucas replied with a half smirk.
“No?”
“She wanted success, sure, but it wasn’t tied to the family company. That was just the easiest way to deliver it for her. She complained several times to me about being under the shadow of the family business, but she couldn’t really deny I’d delivered on my side of the deal.”
I shifted my gaze slightly to Beatrice, “And…” I said waiving my hand at her.
Lucas gave out a hearty laugh, “Oh, that one? Once she realized what Kimberly had done, she offered to sell me her soul if I released Kimberly from her deal. Poor thing, I explained that’s not how things worked, but she insisted, so she did what she thought was the next best thing. She made a deal with me to ensure Kimberly’s happiness.”
I raised an eyebrow, “That was bad?” I asked.
“Well, no, not really, just it was kind of an easy request, not really as valuable as her soul. Kimberly was already quite happy with our deal, so there was not need to change anything there. The only area Kimberly wasn’t very satisfied with in her life was her sex life. So making Beatrice an eager little carpet muncher for her best friend solved that quite easily.”
My jaw almost hit the floor when the image of Beatrice between Kimberly’s legs, eagerly lapping away, popped into my head.
It lasted longer than I would have liked, but when it passed I turned back to Lucas with a frown, “So… what’s with the bunnification of the two of them now and why are you telling me all this?”
Lucas chuckled again and put his arm around my shoulders, giving me a little slap on the back, “I knew I was going to like you Tom, right to the point.” he replied and then guided me over to the two chairs in front of Kimberly’s desk and gestured me to take a seat as he did.
“Look, I might have made Kimberly successful, and Hooper Technologies a household name, but I didn’t do it because of a soul or two… well, not just because. No, I have plans for this little company, far bigger plans, but Kimberly was never going to be the right face of the company for what I have planned. I need someone more… well, someone more manly.” he said with a wave at the end towards me.
I smirked and shook my head, “And I bet all it will cost me is my soul, right?”
Lucas chucked again but shook his head, “No, not at all actually. In fact I’m offering you the job with no strings attached. No payment, no restrictions on how you run it, it will just be yours.”
He paused for a moment while that sank in, but then spoke again before I could say anything, “Oh, there is one thing though, a kind of favour if you will that I’d like you to do.”
“And there it is…” I said sarcastically.
Lucas just smiled and continued, “Well, you see I’ve collected Kimberly’s and Beatrice’s souls already, so I’m done with them, but it seems such a waste to just take their bodies to hell right away… I was hoping you might be willing to look after them for a few decades… you know, until you get bored of them. They’re quite eager to please now, very obedient without any of that pesky free will any more. Kimberly told me many times how talented Beatrice was with her mouth, and Kimberly I’m sure would be a quick learner.”
I looked over at the CEO and CFO… then mentally corrected myself, former CEO and former CFO.
“And I don’t have to sell my soul, or be damned to hell?”
Lucas squinted a little and smiled, waging his finger at me, “Observant, just as I knew you would be. No, nothing in this offer will damn you to hell or cost you your soul… of course what you do outside of the deal, well, I can’t guarantee anything there.”
I nodded, “So say, if decide to take Kimberly as my wife, and then sleep with Beatrice, that would be a sin and I’d go to hell for it.”
Lucas shook his head, “Not a good example I’m afraid. Kimberly and Beatrice don’t have souls any longer, so technically they’re the same as cattle as far as…” Lucas paused and waived his finger up towards the ceiling, “…is concerned. So nothing you do with or too them is going to count. But yes, if you were to marry a human with a soul and then cheated on them, that would be a sin and you’d go to hell if you didn’t repent.”
“Alright, good to know.” I said with a smile on my lips.
Lucas stood up again and extended his hand one more time, “Then we have a deal?” he asked.
I paused in thought for a moment but couldn’t see any downside, so I stood up and shook his hand, “We do.”
“Great!” he said ecstatically and then broke the handshake, “I’ll leave you alone to get to know your new, ah, toys. You should get the paperwork in a day or two, enjoy them in the meantime.” Lucas said and then disappeared in a puff of smoke, the sent of sulfur lingering just for a moment until the smoke cleared.
I walked over to Kimberly and Beatrice and wondered which I should fuck first, but then something Lucas said came back, “Kimberly told me many times how talented Beatrice was with her mouth”, and the decision was made.

Wait a minute… if Kimberly and Beatrice are now considered cattle, and most major religions consider sex with animals to be a sin… That means Lucas lied when he said nothing Tom does is going to count.
I’m shocked I tell you, just shocked… Well not that shocked. 😉
