A hands on kind of leader...

“Oh, that’s amazing that you remember me after all this time.” Denise said as she sat at one of the diners tables and touched her shoulder.

The man sitting across from her was David, the owner of the diner, and this was the second time she’d applied for a job there.

The first had been several years ago and she’d looked very different. Dark black hair, dingy clothing, and attitude oozing out of every pore of her body.

She’d been desperate back then, in need of a job, any job, but not willing to change the way she dressed or acted to get one. He’d rightly turned her away and she’d struggled for quite a while. That is until about a year ago when she’d started dating Henry.

She’d done it out of desperation really, he was significantly older than she was, but he had money and stability, which she needed more than her own self respect. Things had been alright for about eight months, but she’d slowly gotten bolder and bolder, demanding more and more from Henry and they had started to fight.

Henry had been the one to suggest marriage counseling, even though they weren’t married, and she’d agreed just to see if she could string Henry along a bit longer.

“And why do you want to work here?” David asked, his eyebrow raised.

“Oh, my husband says I need to get out of the house more and pull my own weight. And I couldn’t agree more.” she replied with a smile on her lips.

She wasn’t married to Henry, at least not yet, but she’d started to refer to him as her husband shortly after starting counseling on the suggestion of their doctor and now it was the most natural thing in the world.

Dr. Ford had been a miracle worker if she was honest. He’d quickly gotten to the root of so many of her issues and exposed them for what they were. Then, with just as much skill, he’d shown her exactly how to fix them.

If Henry had the money and stability she wanted, she needed to bring something to the relationship as well. She’d felt overwhelmed with joy when Dr. Ford had explained to her that she needed to bring the sex appeal and obedience to the relationship. It took her very little time to embrace both fully, and completely.

“And you know this is shift work, right? I might have to call you in at the last minute sometimes…”

“Oh, that’s not a problem, I’d never say no. My husband says that being reliable and on-time is a critical trait that we should all endeavor to have.”

“Well, in that case, congratulations.” David said as he stood up and extended his hand.

Denise smiled and blushed, standing up as well and taking his hand in her gloved hand and shook it, “Thank you Sir! You won’t regret this, I promise.”

David smiled and nodded, “Well, I hope not. Why don’t you come in Saturday afternoon for a shift and we can get you started.”

“I’ll be here!” Denise said and then walked out of the diner, her hips swaying as her heels echoed as they hit the tiled floor.

Denise couldn’t wait to tell her husband, after all, this was his favorite diner and she couldn’t wait to serve him dinner at her new work. And who knew, maybe he’d grab her ass and give her more than his big hard tip when they got home.
